On June 2, 2009, Governor Christine Gregoire reappointed Gerald (Jerry) Ryles to the Board, to represent the interests of clients of individuals and firms licensed under the Public Accountancy Act, for a three-year term.
Jerry retired in 2003 after 41 years working for several companies across a broad range of industries. He has served on a number of company Boards of Directors, both private and public. Mr. Ryles has also been active in a number of public service activities for many years, particularly at the University of Washington.
Current activities include volunteer Board service with Halifax Corporation, audit and compensation committees for Giant Campus, and chairman of the audit committee for Zumiez, Inc.
Mr. Ryles is a native of Eastern Washington. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington and his Masters in Business Administration from Harvard University.
