Karen R. Saunders, CPA, KPMG LLP, Seattle

On May 4, 2010, Governor Christine Gregoire appointed Karen Saunders to the Washington State Board of Accountancy for a three-year term effective June 10, 2010. Karen has been with the CPA firm KPMG LLP in Seattle since 1986. She is currently a partner of the firm.

Karen has served as Board Chair of Big Brothers Big Sisters and currently serves as an ambassador Board member. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Washington Society of CPAs (WSCPA).

Karen holds a valid Washington State CPA license to practice public accounting in Washington State and holds practice permits in Alaska and California.
