No. You must use the title CPA-Inactive, with the word 'inactive' in the same font and size.

You cannot hold out to the public for the practice of public accounting.


I am a licensee; what are the requirements for the use of the CPA title?

You can use the CPA title for professional, occupational, or the practice of public accounting.


I am retired from the CPA profession; may I use the CPA title?

No. You cannot use the CPA title in Washington unless you hold a valid CPA license. For example, you may not use the title “CPA-Retired” if you have retired your license.

I hold a valid CPA license in another state; may I use the title CPA in the state of Washington?

Yes, as long as you meet the requirements for practice privileges.
